How long does a head job take?
A standard valve job with resurfacing runs about a week from drop-off, and pressure testing happens first on anything that overheated. If a race date or a work truck deadline is in play, say so when you drop off and we schedule to the date.
What does machine work cost compared to a Nashville shop?
Our labor menu is published on the cost page, which makes comparing easy: valve jobs typically $200 to $350 on a standard V8 head, boring and honing around $60 to $90 per cylinder, cranks ground for $250 to $400. You will not find lower Nashville numbers in writing, because nobody down there publishes them.
