About the shop

A machine shop for a town that takes engines seriously.

Bowling Green Engine Machine is an automotive machine shop in Bowling Green, Kentucky, serving Warren County and the counties around it: cylinder heads, engine blocks, crankshafts, and flywheels, machined for daily drivers, farm diesels, race engines, and the repair shops that send their machine work out. That sentence is the whole business. The rest of this page is how we run it.

This is a town where the Corvette is built, where Beech Bend runs drag racing all season, and where the surrounding counties still farm hard enough to break diesels on schedule. Engines matter here in a way they do not in most towns of this size, and the machine work underneath them deserves to be easy to find, easy to price, and easy to trust.

Two habits we will not break

First, the prices are published. The cost page prints the labor menu, valve jobs, resurfacing, boring per cylinder, crank grinding, all of it, and the invoice matches the quote. A farmer pricing a head job at the kitchen table and a service writer quoting an engine job at the counter deserve the same numbers before they call.

Second, the measurements travel with the parts. Every casting is measured coming in and going out, and the written sheet goes home with the work: bore sizes, journal sizes, surface finish, straightness. Machine work is invisible after assembly, and documentation is how invisible work stays honest.

The honest fine print

We test suspect castings before machining them, we call before any number moves, and we say plainly when a part is not worth your money. Some jobs belong with specialists, babbitt pours and heavy industrial diesel among them, and we say that too. Email runs to sibo.wang@westbridgehome.com, photos and calls to (270) 438-4749.

Ready to price a job? Start at the labor menu, find your county on the service area pages, or just call. Engines around here work for a living, and so do we.
